The three types of life-altering experiences in an origin story are trauma for example Batman, Bruce Wayne, seeing his parents get murdered. Then there's destiny like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and the last life-altering experience in an origin story is sheer chance for example Peter Parker becoming Spider-Man after getting bit by a poisonous spider in a lab.
My Origin Story:
Her name was
Brooklyn, she was 25 years old when she found out her husband was murdered by
her ex-boyfriend who just couldn't let her go. Antonio, her husband, was coming
home from war in Iraq after thirteen months of being away. Brooklyn was waiting for
Antonio to come off the plane when she heard three gun shots. She swiftly made
her way to the location where she assumed the shots were fired instead of
taking cover. Brooklyn knew that her ex, Steven, was obsessive over her so she left him because he was abusive towards her. He lived in the same
town as her and Antonio but she wouldn't have thought this could be happening
to her. As she approached the boarding area she was shocked at what her eyes
were seeing. Laying on the ground with his military uniform, which was
delicately ironed before worn, was her beloved Antonio. He was lying on his
back, arms sprawled outward and topaz eyes wide open starring at the ceiling.
Three bullet entries were visible upon his stiff body, all three had pierced his
heart. Brooklyn couldn't believe what she was witnessing, as she stared into
Antonio's lifeless eyes she felt weak, fell to her knees and began to cry.
Antonio was the only thing she's ever loved in the world and now he has been
taken from her. Once the police had finally come they asked her questions she
told them that she was his wife and that he had just gotten back from touring
in Iraq. Before the paramedics put Antonio's body into the back of the
coroner's truck Brooklyn gently shut his eyes and kissed him one last time.
Everything around her was spinning at hyper-speed until she saw a figure standing
in the corner then everything stopped. He looked familiar, as he was staring at
her, almost like she's seen him before. Then she realized who it was, Steven
was leaning against the wall of the airport building with a gun in his right hand
and Antonio's dog tags in the other. Adrenaline rushed all through Brooklyn's
body causing her to feel a warm sensation in every pumping nerve, she now knows
who had killed her true love and she's out for revenge.
As time
passed without Antonio, Brooklyn began to study telekinesis; the supposed
ability to move objects at a distance by mental power or other nonphysical
means and also mental illusions. After seeing her husband murdered she has
promised herself that she will not let anyone ever take anything away from her
again, and that if anyone does she’ll show them no mercy. Brooklyn became
exceedingly experienced at moving objects with her mind and also inducing a
crippling, although illusory, pain in other peoples’ minds. Later on she will
become Psion the ultimate super villain in her small town. All because of
Steven, the murderer who killed Antonio, she has work to do and stuff to kill.
